What data do we collect from you?

Purchase/order on the website/application

When you make a purchase at Milan Petrović store, through the website or mobile application, depending on the case, you may be asked to provide certain personal data necessary for the conclusion of a distance selling contract, order creation, or to fulfill obligations under the sales contract – delivery realization, payment, and receipt of goods.

In the case of purchases in Milan Petrović online stores for home delivery, we require the following data:

Milan Petrović is obligated under the Consumer Protection Law to provide customers with the opportunity to file complaints about purchased products and services.

The data collected in this manner is used solely for the purpose of resolving and responding to your complaints.

Please note that under no circumstances do we collect special categories of data, such as information related to your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or membership in a union. We also do not process genetic data, biometric data, data related to health status, sexual life, or sexual orientation.

Depending on how you have contacted us and the type of inquiry, we may collect your data such as name, surname, phone number, email address, and other information related to your inquiry.

Marketing purposes

Subscription for receiving information about current offers and promotions – Newsletter. If you wish to receive our notifications about current offers and promotions, you can leave your email address for newsletter notifications on our website at any time at the bottom of the page.

We process data collected on social media for the purpose of informing consumers about current promotions and offers, aiming to interact and enhance relationships with followers.

Data collected on social media based on consent, such as comments, videos, images, likes, are published by the operator. Milan Petrović does not share this data with third parties and reserves the right to delete unlawful content, hate comments, explicit content, and data constituting a criminal offense.

There is a relationship with the social media platform operator in accordance with Article 45 of the Law (joint responsibility): For the web tracking methods that the social media platform operator enables, the operator and we share joint responsibility. Web tracking may occur independently of whether you are logged into the social media platform or registered. Unfortunately, we have limited influence on the operator’s web tracking methods; for example, we cannot disable them. The legal basis for web tracking is a legitimate interest, which involves optimizing the social media platform and specific fan pages.

Video Surveillance

Milan Petrović uses video surveillance at all retail facilities for the safety of its employees and property, and for detecting crimes and other contentious situations. Notices about video surveillance are posted at the entrance to each retail facility and are used in accordance with the Private Security Law. Information collected through video surveillance is stored for a period that allows us to assist regulatory bodies and law enforcement, up to a maximum of 3 months, after which all data is automatically deleted. This information is stored in a way that ensures appropriate protection of personal data, and access is limited only to authorized personnel.

Who has access to your data?

Protecting your personal data is of utmost importance to Milan Petrović, ensuring that your personal data is not disclosed to unauthorized individuals. Within our company, access to the data you have provided is granted only to those departments or employees who require it for the purpose for which personal data was collected and whose job description involves processing personal data. In addition to our employees, for the purpose of providing specific services, we may disclose your data to third parties—our partners who provide services on behalf of Milan Petrović (e.g., courier services, customer service, IT partners maintaining our website/mobile application). In all these cases, our relationship with external partners and the method of protecting and handling your personal data are ensured through contracts in accordance with the law. We do not transfer your data outside the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

How long do we keep your data?

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned above. We take into account legal obligations regarding the retention of personal data. When the basis for data collection is the conclusion and execution of a contract, we keep data on completed purchases and customers for the duration specified by tax laws and sales contract regulations (e.g., data on filed complaints is kept as required by the Consumer Protection Law). After the expiration of the specified deadlines or after withdrawing consent, if the data is processed on that basis, all customer data will be depersonalized, deleted, or destroyed.

Data about minors

Milan Petrović does not intentionally process personal data of minors under 16 years old. Adults are advised to properly supervise minors under their care while browsing the internet, especially when providing personal information is possible.

Security measures

To ensure the protection of personal data, Milan Petrović has adopted a set of rules that regulate the processing and protection of personal data.

Various mechanisms have been implemented, such as mandatory training for all employees on handling confidential and personal data, access to personal data is allowed only to authorized personnel, and strong password policies are in place. In addition to the above, Milan Petrović has appointed a Data Protection Officer who assists in the process of protecting and securing personal data and ensures their compliance with the law.

Milan Petrović continually monitors and, depending on the needs, enhances security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or breach of personal data.

What rights do you have as the data subject?

At any time, you can contact us with any of the following requests:

1. To provide you access to your personal data, explain the purposes for which your data is used, and grant access to such personal data. You have the right to know the processing purpose, categories of personal data we store, third parties, or categories of third parties with whom your personal data is shared, and the retention period.

2. To request correction of inaccurate, incorrectly entered, and/or outdated data.

3. To request the deletion of your personal data if the processing is based on your consent, legitimate interest, or if personal data are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected.

4. To request the restriction of the processing of your data if you dispute the accuracy of personal data within a period allowing the controller to verify the accuracy of the personal data, if you believe the processing is unlawful and do not want the data to be deleted, if you have objected, or if you believe that Milan Petrović no longer needs your data.

5. To lodge a complaint about how we process your data, even in cases where it is not disputed that we process the data in accordance with the Law.

6. To file a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, in accordance with the Law.

If the controller, in accordance with Article 21, paragraph 3 of the Law, reasonably doubts the identity of the person who submitted the request, they may request additional information necessary to confirm the identity, in accordance with Article 5, paragraph 1, item 3 of the Law.

The controller is obliged to provide a copy of the data it processes to the data subject upon their request. If the request for a copy is submitted electronically, the information is provided in the usual electronic form, unless the data subject has requested a different form of delivery. If the data subject requests additional copies, the controller may request reimbursement of necessary costs.

Competent authority

The competent authority for personal data protection is the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia, to whom you can also file a complaint in accordance with the law.

Effective date and Privacy Policy changes

This Privacy Policy comes into effect on June 11, 2020.

The Privacy Policy may be amended or supplemented, depending on the needs and changes in processes at Milan Petrović, changes in legal frameworks, or at the request of the competent authority (Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection). It is recommended that users regularly check for changes and additions to the Privacy Policy on the Milan Petrović website.
